True.

I use Linux Mint at home (which derives from Ubuntu) and everything works great, even those irritating audio and video files which are encoded with relatively unknown and/or commercial codecs.

Linux has really become as user friendly as anything else. For me at least.

After years of tinkering with Linux, I finally managed to settle down fully with Linux as my main OS. Linux is becoming more accessible and more user-friendly exponentially. With so much support for hardware out of the box in various distros, it's a joy to install and use. I don't even need to find and install drivers for my Logitech E3500 or Microsoft VX-5000 webcams. Just plug them in and use!
